Syurga Cinta =)
Well, these few days I've been literally rotting resting at home doing nth except watching the whole load of DVD which I juz bought from JB.
Watched really, really alot until Mom starts nagging about the bills being high coz of dat.
=X
Here's the list of the movies I've watched thus far, if u dun believe me;
1. Red Cliff 2
2. 17 again
3. Histeria
4. X-men: Wolverine smth smth
5. Transformers 1 & Transformers Revenge of the Fallen
6. Night at the Musuem 2
7. Syurga Cinta
Hmm, guess dere's some more but I cant think of them off the head right now.
&& my fav of all was movie #7, Syurga Cinta.
I noe, it's smth like a romantic comedy but it's not like the norms.
It combines romance, comedy and some religious values.
Here's how the story goes;
The film opens with the scene of Irham's homecoming being celebrated by him and his buddies at a nightclub. The next day, Irham was given a challenge by his mates to court a pious Muslim girl, Syuhadah, who also works as a teacher at Irham's brother's school. Within a month, he must break up their relationship in front of his friends to win the bet.
When Irham wanted to catch Syu's attention, he did all sorts of stuff a guy wud normally do to attract her.
Like for example; when Hadziq first introduces his brother(Irham) to Syu, he was wearing diz Jubah AND ketayap juz bcoz Syu wears scarf.
Den Syu asked Hadziq, "Ur brother jz got back from Mesir izit?"
Haha!
The first few scenes was hilarious at some parts, den the show got deeper into the plot with the many, many truckloads of religious values that was implanted within the dialogue itself.
The movie made me realize a few things, which is sorta a good thing coz I learnt smth from it.
However, it may be slightly overrated and cliched coz in reality no one wud speak like Syu did, wad with all the values and rules in almost every sentence.
All in all, it's a nice and heart-warming movie to watch.
